FAQs
What types of questions can InfoTrack answer to support accounting firms?
InfoTrack is an integrated platform that gives accounting firms three connected capabilities: access to authoritative intelligence on clients and counterparties, a structured due diligence workflow to act on that intelligence, and a compliance framework to document everything correctly. Rather than managing separate tools for company searches, client verification, AML/CTF obligations and entity monitoring, accounting firms can complete all of these tasks within a single platform. Every action taken through the platform is captured in audit-ready format from the moment it is ordered.
InfoTrack gives accounting firms access to a broad range of national searches and data sources, including ASIC company and business name searches, PPSR registrations, property title and ownership searches, court and litigation records, people locator searches, and credit intelligence from CreditorWatch. For complex corporate structures, the Reveal data visualisation tool maps relationships between individuals, companies and assets dynamically, allowing your team to understand layered ownership arrangements without manual cross-referencing.
InfoTrack is an integrated platform that combines compliance and due diligence within a single environment, rather than treating them as separate functions. The intelligence your firm gathers on a client and the compliance record your firm is required to maintain are built simultaneously, so there is no duplication of effort and no reconciliation between separate systems. For accounting firms managing AML/CTF obligations alongside ordinary client due diligence, that integration significantly reduces administrative burden without compromising the quality or defensibility of the compliance record.
From 1 July 2026, accounting firms that provide designated services are formal reporting entities under AUSTRAC as part of the Tranche 2 reforms to the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006. This means affected firms must enrol with AUSTRAC, develop and maintain an AML/CTF programme, conduct customer due diligence before providing a designated service, monitor clients on an ongoing basis, lodge threshold transaction reports and suspicious matter reports where required, and retain records for seven years. Firms that are uncertain whether their services fall within scope should review AUSTRAC’s published guidance on designated services for accounting professionals.
InfoTrack’s AML/CTF Compliance Centre is a complimentary, all-inclusive solution developed in partnership with Grant Thornton, adviser to AUSTRAC, that covers the full compliance lifecycle within a single guided environment. It supports accounting firms through AUSTRAC enrolment, AML/CTF programme development, customer due diligence, ongoing monitoring, suspicious matter and threshold transaction reporting, and automated seven-year record keeping. There are no subscription costs and no separate systems to manage. Because the Compliance Centre operates within the same environment as InfoTrack’s broader due diligence tools, the intelligence gathered on a client feeds directly into the compliance record.
InfoTrack’s customer due diligence workflows are designed to satisfy both existing verification of identity requirements and the new obligations introduced under Tranche 2. The platform provides structured digital onboarding that collects and verifies client identity information, runs sanctions and PEP screening, and logs every step with a time-stamped audit trail. For complex structures involving trusts, companies or foreign entities, beneficial ownership workflows guide your team through the required layers of identification. All records are stored within the Compliance Centre and remain accessible for the full seven-year retention period.
InfoTrack Entity Edge is a continuous monitoring solution that allows accounting firms to track changes to companies and individuals across multiple data sources from a single dashboard. Rather than conducting point-in-time searches and relying on clients to disclose changes, Entity Edge alerts your team when relevant changes are detected, including changes to company officeholders, ASIC status, PPSR registrations, court actions and credit defaults. This supports both ongoing AML/CTF monitoring obligations and general client risk management.
InfoTrack’s company incorporations, trusts and stamping solution allows accounting firms to incorporate companies, prepare trust deeds and manage stamping within a single streamlined workflow. Orders are placed through the platform and processed directly with ASIC and the relevant state authorities. Because the platform is integrated with InfoTrack’s broader due diligence and compliance tools, the entities created through the platform can be immediately added to monitoring programmes or connected to an existing client’s compliance record.
